New Plymouth Dogs Day Out

Part of the large crowd

The annual Dog's Day Out was run in New Plymouth in January.

The event was organised under the local Council’s Summer Scene Programme and attracted the largest crowd seen in recent years at this annual event. The crowd enjoyed a sunny afternoon and appreciated the events which included agility demonstrations and training tips from the Dog Guru.

Hearing Dog’s staff and volunteers manned the registration table with our organisation benefitting to the tune of over $600 from gold coin donations, raffle sales and proceeds of an auction held at the end of the day.

As well as the money Hearing Dog’s benefits greatly from the PR exposure days like this generate. We thank all those involved in the day, especially the New Plymouth District Council Summer Scene Team; Jim Aitkin from Dog Control; More FM presenters and last but not least Mayor Pete who acted as auctioneer at the end.

A very successful day all round.
