Celia & Tara

Celia & Tara

"Tara was more than "just a dog". We could 'read' each other and Tara understood over 15 commands in NZSL so verbal communication was not always needed. The bond between us was incredibly strong. She was a great ambassador for Hearing Dogs NZ and an amazing companion for me."

Ella & Mishca

Ella & Mischa

"So a big thank you to the wonderful people at the Hearing Dogs Training School and for those responsible for making a dog available to me and their great choice of dog - I could not wish for better."

Geoff & Toby

Geoff & Toby

"I always maintain that one of the big bonuses of having a Hearing Dog is that it advertises the fact that we suffer from the "unseen disability" and people tend to treat us with an understanding which is not always forthcoming otherwise."

Margaret & MitziMargaret & Mitzi

"I can not find enough words to express my total gratitude for having the privilege of having my hearing dog. Mitzi is absolutely everything to me, even when at times she is a bit of a monkey and thinks she can have time out because someone else is around."

Barlow & Susan

Susan & Barlow

"I believe that other deaf and hearing impaired people should have the opportunity of owning a hearing dog.  These dogs enhance opportunities for communication with others and also enable their owners to gain a greater sense of safety and security in their environment.

Stefan & cullyStefan & Cully

Stefan can't imagine life without Cully to let him know when someone is at the door or the telephone is ringing. Before I had Cully it was quite annoying because people would stop calling me when I didn't answer the phone. So Cully has been intrumental in keeping him in contact with his family and friends"
